I am clearing out my old room in Salzburg and found my old Nokia 7110 and the key from my beloved Renault Clio. Both items date back to the year 2000. (Time flies.)
I am in Salzburg for the easter weekend. After my arrival my parents and I had a belated birthday party. They surprised me with some lovely presents – a wooden manikin and some very fine watercolours. (And now I am off practising.)
Today’s Be Creative is a do it yourself instruction for a greeting card. In this case it is for my aunt’s birthday. The image is from Shorpy, the blue passepartout is from a stationary shop. Just download and print the picture, glue it to the card and make your aunt happy.
Recently F. unintentionally invented a new animal. It is called „the hamstel“ (=hamster & blackbird, which is „Amsel“ in German). (Sorry for the delayed post, but for some reason this website was completley down last night.)
In Austria there is a tradition that the person who wakes up last of the whole family on Palm Sunday is called „palm donkey („Palmesel“ in German). As it is technically already Sunday now (3:30 a.m. to be precise) and I will sleep long and get up late in the morning I will be the palm donkey. Although I am living all by myself.
As I walked down the stairs of the house I live in I suddenly saw the face of a man on one of the steps. He looked like from the turn of the century. I have to do research on the history of this house, after all it does not happen every day that one encounters a ghost on the stairs.
(Sorry for the late upload, I had to fight some technical problems last night.)
