Ich habe schon als Kind unglaublich viele winzige Furchen und Fältchen in den Handflächen gehabt. Ich weiß nicht ob das etwas bedeutet. Aber man sagt ja, dass man das Leben aus so einer Hand herauslesen könne. Da müsste ganz schön was los sein bei mir.

As a child I already had incredibly many tiny wrinkles in my palms. I have no idea if that means something. But they say you can read many things about your life from a palm. According to that there should be a lot of stuff going on in mine.

Bald ist Fasching (oder Karneval, wie es manche nennen). Daher eine Maske.

Soon there is carnival. So here comes a mask.

Immer wenn ich angespannt bin (so wie jetzt gerade) vermisse ich eine Badewanne. Das Gefühl unterzutauchen, die Geräusche nur mehr gedämpft wahrzunehmen und schwerelos zu sein ist so schön. Immerhin habe ich dieses Foto ausgedruckt und neben meine Dusche ins Badezimmer gehängt. Damit ich nicht vergesse wie es sich anfühlt, das mit dem Schweben im Wasser.

Alwys when I am feeling tense (as it is the case right now) I am missing a bathtub. The feeling of diving under the surface of the water, the muffeled sounds from the outside world and the feeling of being weightless is too wonderful. At least I have printed this image and hung it on the wall next to the shower in my bathroom. So I might not forget how floating in the water feels.

Heute war ich beim Friseur. Mein neuer Haarschnitt ist eine Reminiszenz an die 1920er Jahre. Ich mag meine neue Frisur wirklich gerne. Und dann habe ich mir noch zum ersten Mal seit 20 Jahren ein zu meiner neuen Frisur passendes Kleid gekauft. Grandios.

Today I went to the hairdresser. My new hair-do is a kind of reminiscence to a 1920ies style. I like it very much. And then I bought a dress for the first time in 20 years. It matches to my new hair-do. Pure awesomeness.

Ich bin so müde. Gleich werde ich einschlafen und träumen dass ich im Meer treibe.

I am so tired. Soon I will fall asleep and dream about floating in the sea.

Uups, falsches Datum auf der Zeichnung. Bin zu müde um es zu ändern. Das ist jedenfalls das Projekt vom 18.2.2011.

Meine Eltern sind von Salzburg nach Wien gefahren und haben meine Wohnung gehütet während ich in Berlin war. Offenbar hat meine Mutter etwas gemalt. Dann hat es ihr nicht gefallen und ich habe das zerrissene rote Papier auf meinem Arbeitsplatz gefunden. Und das ließ sich wunderbar zu einer kleinen Welt verarbeiten.

My parents were driving from Salzburg to Vienna and guarded my flat while I had been to Berlin. Obviously my mother painted a picture. But then she was not satisfied and I found little red pieces of paper on my desk when I came back. They were perfect for creating a tiny world.

Wieder daheim. Die Berlinale war dieses Jahr sehr schön – Essen mit Freunden, viel gutes Networking, sogar einige Filme gesehen und durch den Market spaziert. Und ab und an ein bisschen zu viele Partys (zum Glück gibt es Alka-Seltzer).

Home again. The Berlinale Film Festival has been great for me this year – dinner with friends, good networking opportunities, I even had the time to watch some movies and stroll across the film market. But every now and then there were a little bit too many parties (thanks God there is Alka-Seltzer).

Heute Abend habe ich mit der lieben K. (a.k.a. Doris Allmacht) über das Heiraten gesprochen. Dabei gibt es Ansichten die wir nicht mit anderen Menschen teilen. (Die Sache mit dem rosarot bezieht sich aber eher auf den Stift den ich mithatte.)

This evening I talked with my dear friend K. (a.k.a. Doris Allmacht) about marriage. There are some sort of opinions that we do not share with some other people. (The text reads: „Marriage is very important …and very pink…“ – but the remark about being pink mainly relates to the pen I had with me.)
